Acclaimed internationally as one of Canadas most accomplished painter of nature-oriented themes, Michael Dumas art is found in private, corporate and public collections in Canada, U.S., Europe and Asia. In 1995, he was selected as one of the top five Canadian Artists in his field for an exhibition at Suntory Museum of Fine Art, Japan and one of six Canadians included in Wildlife Habitat exhibition at Spannierman Gallery in New York City, 1998. His art has adored Canadian postage stamps and coins, exhibited in the National Museum of Canada, and forms part of the Ontario Provincial Governments permanent art collection. Exhibitions by Michael Dumas include the National Museum of Canada, the Royal Ontario Museum and the McMichael Canadian Collection, as well as prominent galleries and museums in England, United States, Hong Kong and Japan. Michael is a member of the Society of Animal Artists-New York and a charter member of the Society of Wildlife Art of the Nations- England. He is also a published writer and the recipient of numerous art and conservation awards. Michael is listed in the Canadian Whos Who published by the University of Toronto Press. He lives near Peterborough, Ontario.
